This whimsical yet elegant silver fish pin is inspired by the quirky fishing villages that are found along Scotland’s East coast.
It has a simple stud and stopper fastening and is so easy to wear, complimenting any outfit. The beautifully stylised form is inspired by the ‘Silver Darling’s’, which was a fond term once given to the herring which brought much prosperity to the East Coast fishing communities.
The pin has a beautiful subtle frosted finish which echoes the cold wintry landscapes that inspire Eileen’s work, making it truly unique. Eileen likes to use a play on words creating a fun talking point; making this adorable silver fish pin the perfect gift for anyone’s darling!
The pin looks great worn on it’s own, or can be teamed up with other matching items such as the the ‘Big Catch’ pendant, the ‘Fisherman’s Pearl’ pendant’ the ‘Twa Fish’ pendant, as well as various matching charm bracelets.
The pin is made from solid sterling silver. All Eileen’s work is handmade in Scotland in her own workshop. In accordance with hallmarking regulations, and where applicable by weight, Eileen’s pieces are hallmarked in Edinburgh, and feature the Assay Office’s iconic Edinburgh Castle stamp.
They are very easy to maintain. Eileen suggests using silver dip which can be purchased at most high street jewellers. Gently clean the surface using a soft tooth brush. Stones and pearls however should not be exposed to silver dip, to avoid surface damage. Pieces should then be rinsed thoroughly with warm soapy water and dried using a soft paper towel.
The fish is approximately 3cm long.
