This charming heart charm is from Eileen Gatt’s Be Charmed collection and features a beautiful handcrafted heart.
Eileen is inspired by traditional Scottish folklore and customs. The ‘Luckenbooth’ heart is well renowned in Scottish history, the name was derived from a pawn shop on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile where lucky trinkets were bought and sold. The heart was a traditional Scottish love token, often pinned to babies clothing to protect them from harm. Eileen has created a beautiful elongated version which is beautifully stylised. The charm has a subtle satin finish.
This charm is the perfect addition to any charm bracelet. Each Eileen Gatt piece is lovingly packaged and nestled in tissue paper within a beautiful branded white box.
This lovely charm looks particularly great when grouped with any other of Eileen’s charms.
The charm is made from sterling silver. The finish is easy to maintain; Eileen suggests using silver dip which can be purchased from any high street jewellers. Apply gently using a toothbrush, rather than fully submerging the piece, then rinse thoroughly with warm soapy water and dry using a soft paper towel. In accordance with hallmarking regulations, and where applicable by weight, Eileen’s pieces are hallmarked in Edinburgh, and feature the Assay Office’s iconic Edinburgh Castle stamp.
