March of the Penguin Cufflinks
These adorable silver penguin cufflinks are just so much fun to wear!
You can almost imagine these little fellows taking shelter amidst a winter snowstorm! Eileen cleverly captures the penguin’s majestic yet quirky character, whilst retaining a pure and simple aesthetic. They come in either a unique frosty satin finish which echoes the cold wintry landscapes, or an oxidized black finish which mimics the silky black lustre of the bird’s feathers. These cufflinks are great for any occasion, sure to create a fun talking point! So incredibly playful and tactile!
They have a simple chain fastenings featuring a stylised fish, forming a fun and integral part of the design. Making the perfect gift for any occasion, especially for those penguin lovers everywhere!
The cufflinks are made from solid sterling silver which gives them a lovely weight, reflecting the quality of the piece. All Eileen’s work is handmade in Scotland in her own workshop. In accordance with hallmarking regulations, and where applicable by weight, Eileen’s pieces are hallmarked in Edinburgh, and feature the Assay Office’s iconic Edinburgh Castle stamp.
Oxidized finishes do not need cleaning and they will fade slightly over time. The plain silver option is also easy to maintain. Eileen suggests using silver dip which can be purchased at most high street jewellers. Gently clean the surface using a soft tooth brush. Stones and pearls however should not be exposed to silver dip, to avoid surface damage. Pieces should then be rinsed thoroughly with warm soapy water and dried using a soft paper towel.
The penguins are approximately 2 cm high. The chains are a standard length.
