These charming oval loop earrings are inspired by the harbours at the heart of Scotland’s East Coast fishing villages.
They have a simple stud fastening and their minimal elegance is sure to compliment any look. Eileen has been inspired by the loops of wound rope that moor the brightly coloured fishing boats to the harbour walls. The earrings have a lovely subtle texture and a beautiful frosted finish which echoes the cold wintry landscapes that inspire Eileen’s work, making them truly unique.
The earrings look great worn on their own or they can be teamed up with other pieces from Eileen’s collection, such as the charm bracelets which also feature the same design as part of an integral clasp.
The earrings are made from solid sterling silver. All Eileen’s work is handmade in Scotland in her own workshop. In accordance with hallmarking regulations, and where applicable by weight, Eileen’s pieces are hallmarked in Edinburgh, and feature the Assay Office’s iconic Edinburgh Castle stamp.
They are very easy to maintain. Eileen suggests using silver dip which can be purchased at most high street jewellers. Gently clean the surface using a soft tooth brush. Stones and pearls however should not be exposed to silver dip, to avoid surface damage. Pieces should then be rinsed thoroughly with warm soapy water and dried using a soft paper towel.
The earrings are approximately 1cm in diameter and they have standard post fittings on the reverse. The earrings come with a unique silver push on back, with a hidden rubber insert, ensuring they are comfortable and secure.
